Hi,
Apple software update found a new version (v6) of icloud for windows and downloaded it but never completes the installation process. It's a Windows 10 machine. I have tried rebooting and downloading again, but the same thing happens. Any ideas?

Thanks, but I've just spent 3 hours following those instructions, uninstalling MS Office and Icloud - and the installation of Icloud has stalled at the exact same point that it did before. i.e. at "removing backup files"
That's really odd and unfortunate. Would you consider reaching out to Apple Support for further assistance with this issue?
It has to be a Windows issue - i have this same thing on Two computers running win 10 - i have tried EVERYTHING and this has cost me hours of time to try to fix
I have exactly the same problem and each time it hangs it appears to be the windows installer 32 bit that stops - tried it on two laptops exactly the same !!
